some year end(-ish) stats

I thought I’d try to overcome my general fear of the Substack analytics to put something together here. I know posts like these are always kind of interesting to look at! So here’s the most read post, the least read post, and a couple other things along those lines.

Some caveats: what follows is the result of scrolling around and guesswork as much as anything else. There might be a more elegant way to do this in the actual Substack interface but I’m always afraid of finding something out there that I don’t want to know. Like that Marilynne Robinson briefly subscribed… but then unsubscribed because of all the Taylor Swift posts or something. That would be knowledge I just couldn’t handle.

All numbers here run from January 1 to November 30, except for a couple that start on January 3 because that was the earliest date I could use.
