I love Sally Rooney’s work quite a lot,¹ but also, I love Sally Rooney’s interviews. Every time one of her books comes out, she does a press round where she gives interviews that I think can be fairly described as “hostile”² and somebody usually sends one to me being like, you have to admit this is annoying, but I love them. I love every single one. It’s like watching a video of a cat bat an annoying hand away.
